Emory University has renovated their Cox Hall Identity Spaces to bolster student education, empowerment, sense of purpose, belonging, and wellness. Collaborating closely with the Interior Design Team at Emory, turnerboone orchestrated the furnishing of five distinct identity spaces situated on the third floor of Cox Hall. These spaces are tailored to accommodate the unique needs of each identity group, while also fostering community and collaboration through shared common areas. Bathed in natural light and infused with vibrant colors, these identity spaces encompass offices, conference rooms, and communal areas, providing an enriching environment for students.
As turnerboone account manager, Christine Ausman said, “The transformation of the spaces was based on input from Emory students, faculty, and staff members. Seeing these groups collaborate to create a unified space was priceless. This experience was more than just a project or job to me, there’s something truly special about creating a vibrant place for students to connect in authentic and intentional ways, and to give everyone a sense of belonging.”
